Mahal Kita, O Yahweh

Awit 27:4
Kay Yahweh ay isang bagay lang ang aking hiniling,
    iisa lamang talaga ang aking hangarin:
ang tumira sa Templo niya habang buhay,
    upang kagandahan ni Yahweh'y aking mapagmasdan,
    at doo'y humingi sa kanya ng patnubay.

Ang relasyon sa Diyos ang pinakamataas at mahalagang relasyon. Lahat ay pwedeng magkaroon nito kung nanaisin at tanggapin si Jesus sa kanilang buhay.

Ang makasama Ang Diyos sa Buhay natin ay Buhay na punong puno Ng pag-asa, Pag-ibig, at kasiguraduhan. 

Katulad Ng sinasabi sa Awit 27:4, nawa'y hangarin natin ang Dakilang Diyos, lagi Siyang Hanapin, at manatili sa Kanyang Pag-ibig.

HIV Awareness (1) Empowering Lives: Bridging Hope Through Compassionate Care (Engaging in HIV and AIDS Prevention, Care, and Treatment

  The Field Practicum Class joined the seminar about HIV and AIDS Awareness held on March 14-15, 2024 at Wesleyan University-Philippines in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. We traveled almost five hours going there from Taytay, Rizal. The seminar was facilitated by the health workers, faculty, and staff of WUP, the Association of Positive Women Advocates, Inc. (A.P.W.A.I.), and the Board of Women’s Work of the United Methodist Church. Also, it was attended by the students of Wesleyan University, UMC Episcopal representatives, and other invited students like us (Harris Memorial College Students). The seminar started by opening worship followed by various sessions on HIV and AIDS awareness. The theme of the seminar was “Empowering Lives: Bridging Hope Through Compassionate Care (Engaging in HIV and AIDS Prevention, Care, and Treatment).   Matthew 22:34-40 NRSV The Greatest Commandment 34 When the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together, 35 and one of them, an expert in the law, asked him a question to test him. 36 “Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?” 37 He said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the greatest and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Is it enough to just know?   Title: The Family of God Biblical Reference: Luke 15:11-32 Focus Verses on 15: 25-32             Luke 15:11-32 is known about the story of the Good Father and the Prodigal Son, but it is seldom heard in a sermon about the elder son in the story. For a quick background of the story, the father has two sons and the younger son asked his father to give him his inheritance. When the younger son received his inheritance, he decided to go away and spend his wealth to please himself.
