THE CONFESSION

     While I am reading a book title "Leadership That Builds" by Glenn Johnson, on its chapter title "A leader Must Have Integrity", I remember my life verse in Psalm 111:10 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and all who follow His precepts have good understanding, to Him belongs eternal praise." The book explains that fearing God is trusting Him with confidence, but this may fail when you feel guilty at some point in your life.  The hindrance of our confidence in God is the feeling of guilt. In Nehemiah (Book in the Old Testament), which is the scriptural foundation of the said book, confession is Nehemiah's way on gaining confidence in God. He said in Nehemiah 1:6 " let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer of your servant that I now pray before you day and night for your servants, the Israelites, confessing the sins of the Israelites, which we have sinned against you. May 29, 2024, Miyerkules, sa oras na 12:00pm hanggang 6:00pm, mula Harris Memorial College Taytay Rizal papunta sa Sitio Nayon, Brgy. Sta. Ines, Tanay Rizal at pabalik muli sa Taytay, Rizal.      Naganap ang lahat ng ito pangalawang araw matapos ng aming college graduation. Halos, lahat ng aking mga batchmates ay pauwi na sa kanilang bayan. Ngunit ako, minabuti kong manatili muna ng ilaw araw at sulitin ang pagkakataon para mapuntahan ang mga lugar sa paligid ng Taytay, Rizal. Isa sa aking gustong puntahan ang lugar kung saan makikita ang mga Dumagat Tribe. Nalaman ko ang patungkol sa kanila una, ay dahil sa aming eskweluhan. Nabanggit ito sa amin noon at nasabing mayroon ministry ang school patungkol sa kanila. Ayon sa impormasyon na aking nakalap, nag-aral sa Harris Memorial College ang kauna-unahang professional sa kanilang tribo. Siya ay si teacher Diday.   Matthew 22:34-40 NRSV The Greatest Commandment 34 When the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together, 35 and one of them, an expert in the law, asked him a question to test him. 36 “Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?” 37 He said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the greatest and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Is it enough to just know?
