Kahit Na Makasalanan Pa

“Ngunit ipinadama ng Diyos ang Kanyang pag-ibig sa atin nang mamatay si Cristo para sa atin noon tayo’y makasalanan pa.”

-Roma 5:8-

 

Lahat ay nagkasala (Roma 3:23). Sa henerasyon ngayon (Generation Beta), laganap pa rin sa mundo ang iba’t ibang uri ng kasalanan. Napakabilis na matukso at mahulog sa kasalanan ang mga tao. Kahit pa humingi na ng tawad sa Panginoon, madalas ay bumabalik pa rin ang mga karamihan sa dati nilang estado. Nakakalungkot, ngunit ito ang totoo. Ang Diyos ang tunay na nakakaalam ng lahat, kahit ilang taon nang nakasulat ang kasulatan, napaka-angkop nito sa lahat ng henerasyon. Alam ng Diyos na magkakamali at magkakamali ang tao at mahuhulog sa kasalanan, ngunit matindi ang Kanyang pag-ibig sa ating lahat. Kahit na makasalanan pa tayo, una na tayong minahal ng Diyos at dahil sa pag-ibig na ito napawi ang ating mga kasalanan (1 Peter 4:8).

Kahit na makasalanan pa, binigyan tayo ng Diyos ng pagkakataon na ihingi natin ito ng tawad sa Kanya at ng sa gayon papatawarin Niya tayo (1 Juan 1:9). Nais ng Diyos na maging malaya tayo at hindi na alipin ng kasalanan (Roma 6:12-14). Kaya’t ang hamon sa ating ng Diyos ay ang araw-araw na pagsunod sa Kanya, pagtakwil sa sarili (Mateo 16:24).

Panalangin: Panginoon Jesus, alam niyo po na ako ay makasalanan at nahihirapan ako na maging malaya. Tulungan Niyo po ako na makamit ang kapayapaang nais mo sa akin. Amen.

HIV Awareness (1) Empowering Lives: Bridging Hope Through Compassionate Care (Engaging in HIV and AIDS Prevention, Care, and Treatment

  The Field Practicum Class joined the seminar about HIV and AIDS Awareness held on March 14-15, 2024 at Wesleyan University-Philippines in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. We traveled almost five hours going there from Taytay, Rizal. The seminar was facilitated by the health workers, faculty, and staff of WUP, the Association of Positive Women Advocates, Inc. (A.P.W.A.I.), and the Board of Women’s Work of the United Methodist Church. Also, it was attended by the students of Wesleyan University, UMC Episcopal representatives, and other invited students like us (Harris Memorial College Students). The seminar started by opening worship followed by various sessions on HIV and AIDS awareness. The theme of the seminar was “Empowering Lives: Bridging Hope Through Compassionate Care (Engaging in HIV and AIDS Prevention, Care, and Treatment). The seminar enlightened me and made an impact on how I should look at the issue of HIV and AIDS in the Philippines and in the world. I...

Sermon: Jesus Christ, the Power and Wisdom of God

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:18-25 "As if you know everything." I still remember when I was in junior high school, that was the line of my English teacher every time the class was getting noisy,  and no one was listening to her. Can we assess ourselves if there’s a possibility that we can know everything? Is our knowledge or wisdom enough to help us and save us from all trials of this world? Can we rely on our knowledge or wisdom? Whom knowledge and wisdom do we seek and need? The message of our scripture in 1 Corinthians 1:18-25 is about Jesus Christ the power and wisdom of God.            1. In this Life, We've been blessed to be a blessing.

 Joy and overflowing grace are what I'm feeling right now.  I want to testify how generous and caring God is. It all began when I ask God to help me with everything I need. In particular, I ask God to help me in my studies. With Faith, I have received what I ask for in prayer. In my past experiences, I had applied for a scholarship many times and I did not get anything. At present, opportunities are gradually opening to me now. I have received educational assistance that is more than enough to support my study- God provides.  Today, our deaconess' song choice for Sunday Service is '' Blessed to be a blessing". Truthfully, we've been blessed to be a blessing. Everything that we have comes from above. All are from God. As we receive something, let thanksgiving be our first thing to do.
